The Senior Director, Business Office plays a pivotal role in the leadership and strategic oversight of Lucid Motors' Manufacturing Operations group. This position requires a seasoned executive with a strong background in operations management, capable of steering the organization through the dynamic landscape of the global automotive industry.
You Will:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Operations group, aligning efforts with the overall mission and vision of Lucid Motors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a unified approach to manufacturing, logistics, engineering, design, human resources, and finance.
- Develop and implement key performance metrics for continuous evaluation of operational success.
- Establish governance structures to track performance across various stakeholders, fostering effective communication and problem-solving.
- Deploy agile teams and task forces to areas of high impact, optimizing performance and capitalizing on opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee resource planning, including personnel and financial aspects, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify and define key objectives, metrics, and performance indicators, implementing tracking mechanisms and data analytics for continuous improvement.
- Build and lead an operational excellence team focused on lean manufacturing, six sigma, and process enhancements across all operational areas.
- Ensure readiness for site expansions at critical stages, facilitating seamless delivery according to plans.
- Foster a close working relationship with technical, financial, and strategic functions to synchronize changes across the organization.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Lucid Air product, collaborating closely with engineering teams to stay informed about ongoing changes and advancements.
You Will:
- 15+ years of significant operations management and product experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or quality.
- Background in manufacturing finished automobiles within a world-class automotive OEM environment known for quality and luxury.
- Proven track record of leading large teams, achieving ambitious targets, and driving process improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on, start-up environment.
