What you'll be doing -
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Capital PMO, the Sr Analyst Capital PMO will drive PMO initiatives specifically around Data Management and training in Clarity PPM. They will be responsible for the oversight and continued review of data quality and accuracy.
They will partner with Capital Budget Group Owners and Project Managers from across the entire Hershey Enterprise including CMG, Salty and International by proactively reviewing, analyzing, and assessing capital project data in Clarity.
They will review and audit submissions for the quality of key deliverables to ensure the submissions comply with Hershey's capital stage gating process. They will assist in the implementation and deployment of Clarity PPM enhancements and provide ongoing support and training to the user community by executing policy changes that drive process improvement.
Travel expectations for this role -
- There is very little travel in this role. You may be asked to travel to headquarters about once each quarter.
Specific focus areas in this role -
- Data reporting through Clarity PPM
- Capital Project KPI development
- Power BI dashboard management and presentations to senior leaders
- Training and change management for new tools and dashboards
- Management of data quality and reporting compliance
Summary of major duties -
- Data Management of all information being inputted into and reported by Clarity PPM. Removing data that is inactive and verify the accuracy of current, active data.
- Manage relationships with Budget Group Leaders and Project Managers to help them understand the required deliverables for project submission and the importance of quality data in Clarity.
- Auditing project submissions and notifying the person who submitted the idea of missing deliverables and/or data quality concerns if needed.
- Continuously improve the data collection methods and data quality used for reporting.
- Maintain and suggest improvements to the project and resource reporting information within Clarity PPM.
- Provide support and training to new and existing tool users, both individually and in groups.
- Create training materials and conduct user training for data submission and reporting.

The ideal candidate for this role would possess -
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with experience in Clarity PPM preferred
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of Project Management, including PMI methodology
- Ability to work cross-functionally with project leadership, resource managers and influence decisions with solid understanding of portfolio pipeline and future needs
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools
- Strong knowledge of both SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environment
- Detailed and process oriented
- Ability to train and teach others on tools and techniques within Clarity PPM
To qualify for this role, you must possess -
- 3+ years of experience as an analyst working with Clarity PPM.
- 3 or more years of experience in developing requirements and performing system analysis.
- Demonstrated understanding of project and portfolio management principles
- Ability to communicate ideas and perform trainings for a variety of audiences Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
