Data Analyst

We are partnering with our client, MSA, to fill a Data Analyst position at the Cranberry PA location. This is not a remote position. MSA Safety is a global leader in the development of safety equipment and pioneering technology that helps protect people and facility infrastructures around the world.

We are seeking a BI Developer with expertise in PowerBI who will be responsible for creating appealing and insightful data visualizations to help drive data-informed decision-making. Your ability to transform complex data into intuitive and actionable visual representations will be key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts, business stakeholders, and developers, to gather requirements and understand business needs for data visualization projects.

• Design, develop, and implement interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using PowerBI.

• Work closely with Corporate Data Strategy team, Data Digitization, and other internal experts to ensure data quality, data integrity, and optimal performance of visualizations.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of visualizations to ensure accuracy, usability, and adherence to business requirements.

• Develop data models to transform and load data into PowerBI

• Optimize and maintain existing PowerBI solutions (within department) for performance and scalability

• Collaborate with other team members to integrate PowerBI with other systems and applications

• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data visualization and recommend innovative approaches to enhance data presentation and storytelling.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

·         Minimum 2 years of experience in developing PowerBI solutions as a BI Developer or similar role

·         Solid understanding of SQL and the ability to write complex queries efficiently.

• Experience with data analysis, data visualization best practices, and storytelling techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities, managing stakeholder expectations for timeliness

• Familiarity with other visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.

• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts is a plus.

• Working experience with SAP data a plus

Salary $25/hr
