Sr. Data Analyst

SUMMARY

The Sr. Data Analyst will develop and implement comprehensive tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights. These insights are often used for decision making and strategic planning across high levels of the business. They will help build a new and growing organization within Banyan, in order to 1) provide information and gain insights into all aspects of business operations, 2) develop and support daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly dashboards and reporting needs, and 3) support various cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate is a phenomenal problem solver, who can move flexibly and help design and build solutions to a wide range of data efforts across the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business operations and performance metrics.
• Design and build technical processes to address data and business issues, through effective collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.
• Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing and product teams.
• Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives.
• Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company.
• Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or Analytics. Masters or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years experience
• Special qualifications: Healthcare and Operations based experience preferred
• Hours of work: Monday- Friday Business Office hours, additional hours as needed to complete projects.

Skills

• Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
• Knowledge of a scripting language - R or Python preferred.
• Experience with dashboard and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using relevant data to inform business decisions and develop actionable recommendations.
• Experience with ETL and data mining, including knowledge of database structures and design, and bringing together multiple datasets from varied systems in various forms.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts and techniques including: regression, feature selection, random forest, etc.
• Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, and plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously.
• Very strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
