This position is an intermediate-level role for the department. The Sr. Credit Card Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations and accounting of the department with customer-centric care being at the core of their performance strategy. Through the practice of pre-defined service standards, this position’s focus is systems support, reconciling accounts, serving customers, preparing reports, and monitoring processes to ensure we are providing a strong customer experience.


  • Serves as a liaison with Credit Card vendors, along with management, completes necessary paperwork for system updates and troubleshoots system-related issues.
  • Monitors system-generated reports and reconciles transactions posting to checking and general ledger accounts for the department. This includes identifying, researching, and clearing of discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Conducts time-sensitive maintenance relating to consumer and business customer requests, including the posting and handling of payments, with accuracy. Obtains necessary information to complete customer files as required by policy and regulation.
  • Proactively monitors card disputes and/or fraud claims ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of services from third-party dispute resolution vendor.
  • Identifies and analyzes service issues, resolving them to the customer’s satisfaction in accordance with bank-wide and department standards. Uses all resources to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Addresses, research, and responds to customer complaints, documenting the resolution per Bank’s policy.
  • Prepares, distributes, and submits (when applicable) monthly and quarterly reports to team members and Credit Card vendors.
  • Represents the bank in a professional manner. Communicates effectively in verbal and written communications.
  • Serves as backup to Lead Credit Card Services Specialist.

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Three to five years of banking experience preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Credit Card issuance programs.
