Summary
At API, Cloud Computing allows us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, we’re seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud analyst who has expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, security, platforms, and applications and an ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and advanced industry knowledge are essential to keep us on the cutting edge. The Sr. Cloud Computing Analyst will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of IT operations and an ongoing impact on growth.

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using industry-standard best practices.
- Knowledge of AWS including RDS, Azure Cloud, M365 and LAN/WAN networking.
- Develop automation scripts to improve the deployment, security and management of cloud resources.
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy
- Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in the implementation and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring while delivering trackable reports
- Identify areas for change or enhancement to improve quality efficiency, and continually evaluate and improve existing and new services
- Utilize monitoring tools to detect and report application, network, and security issues
- Intermediate knowledge of Atlassian products and configuration (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, JSM)
- Support incident management, service-level management, change management, release management, continuity management, and availability management
- Knowledge of Oracle Database & WebLogic is a plus
- Knowledge of Ancibel, Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies is a plus
- Participate in production support issues as needed
Required Skills, Education and Experience
Applicants should have 7-10 years of relevant experience along with strong technical, analytical, and trouble-shooting skills; be a self-starter who is willing to go the extra mile; possess strong focus on customer service; be able to manage multiple responsibilities and work well under pressure; have excellent communication skills; and have the following education/certifications.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Additional certifications in related technologies such as DevOps, automation, and networking are a plus.
- Knowledge of Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies is a plus.

Compensation
Good faith annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 and is commensurate with experience and location.
