Senior Business Systems Analyst, Manufacturing IT

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing team in Frederick, MD or Santa Monica, CA as a Senior Business Systems Analystin Manufacturing IT. The Manufacturing IT department is responsible for working with functional business partners in the design, build, deployment, and support of business applications globally.
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be an integral and highly visible part of Kite's Manufacturing IT team, reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing IT. This role will work closely with the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities & Engineering functions to deliver technology solutions that meet our critical business needs. This includes identifying new enhancements and integrations, gathering of detailed requirements, coordinating user acceptance testing, guiding requests through the product development lifecycle, and support.
This person will help manage relationships with key business team members like Cell Therapy Clinical and Commercial Manufacturing, Facilities and Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Operational Excellence.
Responsibilities of the Senior Business Systems Analyst, Manufacturing IT include (but are not limited to):
- Serves as functional resource and subject matter specialist for Manufacturing, F&E, Quality and Supply Chain systems such as ERP (Plan to Make and Order to Cash), Robar, Maximo, Data & Analytics, and system integrations
- Collects, documents, and manages user, functional, and technical requirements for Manufacturing, F&E, Quality and Supply Chain for the Cell Therapy business area
- Drive best business practices for business application implementations in Plan to Make, Order to Cash, F&E and Quality in cell and gene therapy
- Provide analytical skills, identify alternatives and reusable components across workstreams, support above mentioned applications/solution implementation, migrations, and future enhancements
- Makes recommendations on business process automation and improvement with digital technologies
- Interacts with end users on a regular basis to understand their needs and provide guidance and training on technical solutions
- Conduct impact assessments on new product capabilities, coordinate testing of changes and enhancements to ensure successful delivery
- Facilitates design sessions by presenting logical statements of business problems and designs, and offering and incorporating ideas
- Organize and lead Technology Roadmap discussions with the business, BPOs and IT
- Understands key business drivers, business metrics, etc. for the area(s) supported and applies that insight to deliver solutions that add value to the business
- Manages application configuration changes following IT Change Management (ITCM) and GxP Change Control procedures
- Develops processes to ensure high availability of supported application systems
- Coordinates testing of changes and enhancements with the business to ensure successful delivery
- Manages application configuration changes following IT Change Management (ITCM) and GxP Change Control procedures
- Documents common resolutions/solutions and application support processes in the IT Service Management knowledgebase
- Participates in system release and post-deployment support activities
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders across dispersed geographies and times zones
- Support the IT Core team as a backup for MES, Finite Scheduling and OSI-PI.
Basic Qualifications:
- MA/MS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR
- BA/BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR
- High School degree with 9+ years of relevant experience AND
- Solid understanding of SAP PP and QM
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in the cell and gene therapy or pharmaceutical/biotech/life science industry
- 2+ years Systems experience & skills: Data mining, Tableau, and SQL skills
- Must have solid understanding and experience in Order to Cash and Plan to Make processes in Biotech or Cell and Gene Therapy company
- Experience in Project Management, preferably with Agile Methodologies or SCRUM Framework
- Strong understanding of E2E Manufacturing and related system processes
- Experience with SAP MM and WM
- Experience with Maximo, ROBAR, BarTender and AWS
- Experience with PAS-X, Finite Scheduling, and OSI-PI
- Experience in standard software development methodologies (Agile, Rapid, Waterfall, etc.)
- Understanding the fundamentals of data migration, conversions, integrations, and extracts.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings
- Must be able to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams
- Deep problem solving skills are essential

The salary range for this position is: $126,480.00 - $163,680.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
