Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sr Business Manager to join our team in Kennesaw!
What you'll be doing:
The position will assume a leadership role in facilitating the identification, analysis, and valuation, and coordinate the execution of all IT related investments for the assigned Business Unit. Drives organizational transformation and growth initiatives, and accelerates the delivery of solutions to promote customer satisfaction and retention. Serves as an integral part of the business leadership team and partners closely with peers and senior executives to envision and deliver technology solutions that will achieve measurable business and enterprise-wide outcomes. Strives to make the IT organization a valued service provider by enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of information technology.
Familiarity with technology solutions that streamline business processes is highly desirable. Ensure that the technology portfolio is aligned and prioritized to business and enterprise objectives. Stimulates, surfaces and shapes business demand for IT solutions and services. Ensures that the business value from those products and services are captured, optimized and recognized. The position will be responsible for organizational product, project and program management teams who have tactical and operational project responsibilities. Promotes digital leadership and governance processes by engaging with product, sales, and client partner teams to support and advance the company's brand as the premier leader in the Automotive (Marine, Motorsports, Golf Cars) industry.
Essential Job Functions:
Strategic Alignment. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the relationship between business activities and their financial and service implications. Provides guidance on effective and innovative use of technology to achieve business and enterprise strategic objectives. Challenges the status quo by continuously questioning how product and technology service and delivery can be improved. Shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. Contributes to the formation of IT's global strategy.
Relationships. Establishes and fosters strong partnerships with business unit, corporate and IT, department leaders and BRM team members. Develops a full understanding of core business processes, products and technologies. Leverages those relationships, combined with business and technical expertise, to influence the development of technology initiatives and investments that maximize profitability, efficiency, effectiveness and a positive client and associate experience.
Expectation Management. Understands the business' goals, opportunities and challenges, and organizational strategies. Participates in the establishment and maintenance of service level agreements between the IT organization and business units. Manages expectations and maintains an understanding of issues that may have an impact on the delivery of IT services to the business. Proactively and continually monitors business satisfaction with IT and provides follow-up with business leaders based on internal and external feedback. Works toward achieving a mutually beneficial, win/win relationship.
Enterprise Portfolio Governance. Provides support and guidance for strategic business and IT technology and service initiatives to ensure business and enterprise objectives are met. Clearly understands the project ROI and measures the results to determine whether expected business outcomes have been achieved. Demonstrates sensitivity to organizational priorities and identifies ways to overcome obstacles to achieve project objectives. Identifies and analyzes the key success factors and failures on each project. Responds with urgency to reported escalations and avoids or minimizes client and business impact by procuring necessary visibility and commitment from the appropriate IT leadership.
Communication. Interfaces independently and effectively with diverse audiences while remaining sensitive to experiential and cultural nuances. Collects and consolidates data that is relevant to the business and/or situation and presents it in a manner that is suitable for that audience. Prepares for and participates in comprehensive periodic reviews with business leadership. Comprehends highly technical situations and can communicate them effectively to the business and clients with executive presence.
Business Development. Develops and delivers effective presentations, facilitates and participates in meetings with audiences of varying sizes at and/or client locations, as well as at national and regional user group meetings. Participates with sales professionals, client Relationship Managers and business executives to define solutions that drive client value, improve service efficiency, and increase business revenue and operating income.
Leadership. Provides direction, mentorship, coaching, guidance and thought leadership to less experienced members of the team.
Budgeting and Planning. Participates in the budgeting and planning process by assisting IT and finance leadership in determining the cost of services delivered to the business units, including non-standard configurations to meet business and client needs.
What you need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Technology.
Ten or more years of experience in progressively responsible IT positions or relevant areas of business
Minimum of 10+ years work experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization.
Experience in automotive or recreational vehicle industry a plus.
Five or more years of direct management experience.
5-7 years of experience managing large cross functional projects.

Collaboration: Partners with operational leaders and associates at all levels with IT, the business and other areas of the enterprise to achieve the business needs and resolve issues. Must bring a strong desire to grow relationships, inspire stakeholders and identify value.
Process Improvement: Understands how the businesses use technology and how to improve the client and associate experience. Uses critical thinking to identify and promote opportunities where the implementation of operational, technical and process improvements will produce a positive impact on the profitability and/or efficiency of the organization. Provides guidance on effective and innovative use of technology to achieve business and enterprise strategic objectives. Challenges the status quo by continuously questioning how product and technology service and delivery can be improved.
Technical Expertise: Acquires and maintains broad product and technology knowledge in order to represent the business or corporate organization as a subject matter expert and provides direction and leadership for the initiatives that have executive level visibility. Provides technology consultation to internal and external partners while limiting operational and financial risk to the enterprise. Understands IT functions, products, applications, infrastructures, and other technology capabilities and recognizes how these will enable the business to advance their strategic objectives.
Problem Analysis Resolution: Must have strong situational awareness and the ability to analyze complex business problems synthesize a large variety of information to yield actionable decisions recommendations.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication
skills are required.
Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility by adjusting to a constantly changing work environment. Acts as an agent of change to improve services and implement new solutions.
English (professional level) is mandatory.
Accountability: Provides sound judgment, technical support and direction. Recognizes that errors may cause substantial delays, expense and disruption to key business initiatives including potential loss of clients and revenue.
Demonstrated working with Global projects and diverse cultures, perspectives and attitudes.
Tools: Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, MS Visio, Analytics skills, ServiceNow, Project Planning tools.
