Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Full-Time Sr. Benefits Analyst to work out of our Pittsburgh, PA office. As the Sr. Benefits Analyst, you will assist with the strategic development, management and administration of our health and wellness programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Analyze trends, legislation and best practices within benefits make recommendations or compliance plan updates as necessary
  • Participate in industry wide surveys, analyze results and benchmark current programs. Based on analysis, provide recommend changes to current plans to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Evaluate existing programs and processes. Suggest ways to improve or create effectiveness/efficiencies.
  • Act as a liaison and manage relationships with carriers, vendors and third party providers; oversee any vendor changes and transitions
  • Responsible for planning and execution of annual open enrollment
  • Ensure compliance across all plans with Federal, State and Local regulations in partnership with third party broker Wellness Coordination
  • Develop wellness strategy that aligns with Michael Baker International with goals, objectives and culture, in addition to creating value for employee wellness
  • Analysis of claims data to determine wellness program recommendations and areas of focus for initiatives
  • Benchmarking of various wellness programs to ensure sustain competitiveness within our market space. Provide any recommendations for changes or improvements to current programs and practices
  • Coordinate wellness screenings and onsite events for employees nationwide
  • Oversee and develop a calendar of topics for the Wellness Connection newsletter; work with partners in Corporate Communications on content and monthly distribution
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance wellness opportunities
  • Develop and facilitate a Wellness Committee to determine employee valued programs, including screenings, activities, and affinity benefits, as well as identify wellness champions across the organization
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned

ADMINISTRATION
  • Create, track and report on monthly metrics for various programs' performance
  • Coordinate annual Health & Welfare 5500 filing
  • Coordinate distribution of 1095C forms
  • Process Vendor invoices
  • Address employee concerns and questions; is the point of contact for HR Business Partners and other leaders for benefits related questions
  • Conducts weekly New Hire Orientation for benefits eligible population
  • Other duties and project work as assigned

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree required, CEBS is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years progressive experience and success in corporate health and welfare plan development and administration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and wellness programs and technical knowledge
  • Comprehension and application of all U.S. laws as it relates to benefit plan administration, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, etc.
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects or priorities simultaneously and producing quality deliverables on schedule
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or a similar HRIS system
  • Strong analytical and creative skills
  • Strong project management skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with co-workers, senior leadership, vendors, third party administrators
  • Polished and well developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude, with the ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis


COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $82,326- $123,489. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
