The Client Benefits Analyst is responsible for enrolling and maintaining eligibility for all agency residential clients in PA & CT, of their government benefits, including but not limited to, Social Security (SS), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Veteran’s Affairs (VA) & Rail Road Pension (RR), SNAP and waiver certifications, and other entitlement benefits. This position is also responsible for the performance of client accounting functions in Provider Pro (PP).
Some Essential Functions:
- Process all monthly disruption reports.
- Timely and accurate completion of the following functions related to client government benefits and other entitlements:
- Generation and submission of Rep-Payee Reports
- SS, SSI, VA, & RR applications, recertification, issue resolution
- SNAP applications, recertification, issue resolution.
- Waiver applications, recertification, issue resolution
- Rent Rebate (PA 1000) applications and follow-up.
- Submission of other client related information such as wage reporting and submission of death certificates
- Medicaid
- Communication with SS or County offices as needed for discharged clients.
- Timely and accurate completion of the following functions related to client accounting in PP:
- Data entry of new clients into PP
- Creation and renewal of Room and Board contracts
- Review and entry of Room and Board charges and adjustment.
- Review and entry of disruptions.
- Uploading or entry of Client bank deposits
- Generating monthly banking balance and activity reports for rep payee clients for review by Supervisor and distribution to program staff.
- Participation in state or county licensing and client financial audits or reviews (both internal and external).
- Annually gather paperwork to prepare local, state and federal income tax returns.
- Implement annual financial plans as prepared by Personal Outcome Champions
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Supervisory chain.
- Associates Degree in Business or related field plus three years Accounts Receivable (AR) or Client Accounting (CA) experience preferred, or HS Diploma plus five years of AR or CA related experience with increasing related responsibilities required.
- Minimum 2 years working with Social Security or Waiver recertification required.
- Experience with financial applications, specifically Evolv, Compass, PS and/or IFS preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with or without supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
