Abacus Technology is seeking a Sr. AV System Specialist to provide high quality and highly reliable capabilities to USSTRATCOM as part of the Audio/Video Control Room (AVCR) team; playing an essential role in serving customers for their voice and video needs at Offutt AFB. This is a full-time position.
- Administer, configure, operate, and maintain systems supporting all Conference Rooms, Auditorium, and the Atrium.
- Maintain and operate VTC, AV suites, and teleconferencing hardware and software.
- Administer, maintain, configure, schedule, and facilitate suite-based VTC systems and associated support equipment and processes.
- Facilitate using the Atrium and Auditorium’s audio and video display system, including monitoring audio and video quality and adjusting, as necessary, for conditions to ensure the highest audio quality possible.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues within the collaboration spaces and presentation rooms is a task for Enterprise AV O&S.
- Administer, configure, operate, and maintain the AVCR Video Distribution System (VDS), two fiber optic matrix video switches (e.g., ThinkLogical, Extron), all AV rack equipment, and all AVCR operational floor equipment.
- Administer, maintain, configure, and operate all enterprise digital signage systems for the C2F, Bldg. and other alternate sites as determined.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and operate all digital interfaces in each conference room, collaboration space, atrium, and auditorium, for consistent and standard controls of the AV system throughout the C2F.
- Write control system software code and graphical user interfaces to control and administer complex multi-classification operational environments.
- Provide the Government with all touch panel programming and any configuration of AV components.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and operate VTC Infrastructure, including codecs, Multi-point Conferencing Units (MCU), Telepresence Management Suite (TMS), Virtual Communications Server (VCS) Control, and Expressway on multiple networks.
- Monitor AV services to maintain awareness of VTC performance, facilitate early detection of incidents, report degradations and outages in accordance with USSTRATCOM policy, and provide assistance to determine root causes and correct any problems or issues.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and operate Multi-Domain Video Network Switch (MDVNS) (currently Freeport Technologies VTC Switching Solution System).
- Provide secure connections of various VTC endpoints utilizing different mediums by bridging all participants in a single hosted environment.
- Coordinate with other distant end locations to ensure communications are reliable and consistent for all equipment.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and operate Enterprise CATV System.
- Facilitate CATV services for USSTRATCOM.
- Provide on-site end-user support for mission-critical and mission essential AV systems/services operated and maintained by the Enterprise AV Functional Area.
- Install, configure, and maintain AV hardware and software on Command-approved networks as requested by the Command.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and complete preventative maintenance actions in accordance with equipment manufacturer recommendation and J6.
- Train USSTRATCOM personnel on the operation of AV and VTC equipment as needed.
5+ years experience in audio/visual and VTC solutions. Must be Security+ certified (or hold equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT II). Must hold a hold Harman Certified Control Professional - Programming (HCCP-P) certification or be able to obtain the certification within six months of hire. Experience in enterprise VTC solutions (ISDN and IP based) to include bridging, gateways, gatekeepers, border controllers, and management systems. Experience with systems at multiple classifications (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI). Experience in room control systems. Must have skills in writing control system software code and graphical user interfaces to control and administer complex multi-classification operational environments. Experience in operating and maintaining complex AV distribution systems. Experience investigating and resolving issues related to AV. Must be familiar with CATV (both satellite and terrestrial) system. Experience with investigations and problem resolutions related to audio visual systems. Experience with Cisco Management Suites and all Cisco VTC systems, Cisco Multipoint Control Units and Gateways. Experience in large scale audio solutions, including but not limited to theater design, large venue multi input multi output systems. Skilled in operating and maintaining audio/visual distribution systems. Experience operating and maintaining enterprise VTC solutions. Knowledge of Cisco Telepresence Management Suite and programming room control systems using Crestron Simpl, Simpl+, AMX Netlinx Studio. Experience with VTC Endpoint Operations (Secure/Unsecure) – Conference Room Systems, Audio System knowledge (Digital Signal Processor operations/configuration), and Control System knowledge (AMX Touch panel Programming/certification). Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
