Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Associate-Process Safety to plan and manage development activities for the Chemical Hazards Lab. Deliver and communicate Process Safety information to internal and external networks to build a robust safety culture. Develop and review plans and timetables for project work and propose changes as needed to accomplish project goals. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate Process Safety testing equipment to ensure they are kept at optimal conditions to perform. Evaluate new equipment and techniques. Author and review scientific reports related to safety testing. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science or a related field and 1 year of academic or employment experience with synthetic molecule drug substance process development. Academic or employment experience must include: 1 year of experience with operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating Process Safety testing equipment; 1 year of experience preparing reports summarizing safety testing data and recommendations; 1 year of experience detailing scientific procedures and results in laboratory notebooks; 1 year of experience with dust explosivity test methods applicable to commercial scale Process Safety analysis and shipping practices, including Kst and Pmax; and 1 year of experience with data interpretation and analysis of experimental results or Process Safety assessments. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. #LI-DNI
