Job Description
TechConnect is seeking a Senior Applications Analyst for an industry leading client that is located in Tulsa, OK. We are looking for an individual that has a proven track record supporting enterprise application installation, configuration, testing, maintenance and support while providing best-of-class customer service to the users they support.
As a Senior Applications Analyst you will focus on the investigation of problems, diagnosis of root cause, determine resolutions and implement solutions with minimal impact to the customers you support. You will frequently help with testing and training of upgraded/new software. You will serve as an SME with a specific focus on the job management application portfolio, to include supporting and maintaining a fully integrated EPC software suite of applications for such things as project controls, procurement, material management, document/information management, advanced work packaging, quality and commissioning. You will engage with customers, gather requirements and perform business assessments to provide design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, upgrade and patch planning for all job management related systems. You will provide training to others regarding use of tools, routinely provide auditing against standards and provide summaries to IT management. You will mentor and project lead application related initiatives, perform project management duties and delegate tasks to other team members.

You must be able to work independently as well as with other team members and represent the companies high moral standards at all times. You will need strong customer service skills accompanied with a high attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities when answering questions and working with team members, and leadership throughout the organization. You will need to be organized and work with a sense of urgency. You must maintain positive working relationships with team members and possess good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities (Cont’d)
- Advise others on various methods, tools, and practices for business assessment. Lead more complex business assessment reviews and walkthroughs for high-impact projects.
- Select and standardize business assessment tools and techniques across multiple methodologies.
- Monitor industry and enterprise effectiveness and experiences; initiate improvements.
- Consult with others on alternative approaches and tools for business assessments and selection processes.
- Develop best practices for identifying and validating opportunities, risks and benefits analysis.
- Demonstrate a strong level of understanding of the specific business processes and systems while working directly with customers to discern business trends and their implications.
- Foster a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with all parties.
- Perform other responsibilities as required/assigned.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software/application design, configuration and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent job-related experience and knowledge in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques.
- Knowledge of Internet search techniques and ability to obtain information from the Internet as well as other sources such as vendors and peers.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure technology, including connectivity, storage, server, and workstation hardware and operating systems, printers, scanners and copiers, security, and telecommunications as it relates to area of supported applications.
- Ability to anticipate, recognize and resolve technical hardware, software, application or operational problems.
- Ability to maintain confidential information in a discreet manner.
- Learn and adapt quickly, work and remain calm under pressure.
- Internal and external document controls for engineering projects.
Work Location
- Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX office.
- Hybrid work environment – 2 days a week you will work from home, 3 days a week you will be in the office. IT employees are in the office every Wednesday for staff meetings.
Travel
- Occasional travel may be required in this role, 10-20% (max). Travel to Houston from Tulsa or vice versa.
- This position will require working outside of normal business hours occasionally.
