SUMMARY
As the Senior Analyst II, Quality Assurance, you will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to lead the testing of a securities trading front-end application designed for our most advanced customers. Your understanding of trading, front-end applications, and quality testing will be critical to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- \t
- Design effective component, system, functional, application and enterprise level test automation \t
- Work closely with product, design, and development teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements \t
- Identify dependencies, risks, and defines the overall strategy for testing complex systems or applications \t
- Participate in the functional testing, regression testing of the application through automated test execution and analysis \t
- Partner with development teams to discover, analyze, write, retest and close defects as they arise \t
- Coordinate with other QA automation engineers to identify and prioritize appropriate test cases for automation \t
- Participate in all agile ceremonies as a member of the scrum team
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- \t
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience \t
- 8+ years of experience as Automation Engineer \t
- Demonstrated knowledge financial trading environment, or equity brokerage business and exposure to futures and options markets \t
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases \t
- experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environments \t
- Programming experience using Java \t
- Experience with testing of Java APIs \t
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, and BitBucket \t
- Hands on experience testing web applications using SauceLabs cloud \t
- Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test cases in Java \t
- Strong background in building automated testing architectures / frameworks using Selenium \t
- Strong background in reviewing business and functional requirements to produce a test strategy and test cases \t
- Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality \t
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills \t
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, and deliver production quality software within tight schedules \t
- Must be results-oriented, self-motivated and can thrive in a fast-pace environment \t
- Able to define and refine test processes and methods that deliver on the business demands \t
- Strong problem-solving, technical, and troubleshooting skills \t
- Strong organizational skills and decision-making ability \t
- Experience using software feature tracking and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence \t
- Demonstrated experience in the Agile/Scrum software development life cycle \t
- Capacity to learn quickly and share knowledge
