POSITION SUMMARY (Onsite in Miami, Fl)

The Energy Management department is looking for an Energy Management Sr Analyst to join our exciting and growing team. This position is responsible for leading the financial planning, and analysis of the team's energy capital program consisting of multi-million-dollar energy retrofit projects as well as operational excellence initiatives.

This position will conduct the business cases' financial analyses and evaluation of completed projects/initiatives as well as liaising both externally and internally with all the associated stakeholders & activities pertinent to the program. They will oversee the entire energy management portfolio and will be responsible for making sure the projects are on track and meet the developed financial KPIs on deliverables including implementation planning, financial appropriation, and analysis of benefits. They will also support operational data analytics and BI tool development initiatives as it relates to the program and will be responsible for making sure the financial decisions and continuous activities on the projects are sound and meet SOX compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Planning & coordinating the yearly and long term multi-million-dollar corporate capital energy program with all external/internal stakeholders, including fuel/energy saving targets aimed to generate multi-million-dollar annual savings.
  • Validating individual & portfolio of energy projects with data-driven benefit tracking.
  • Performing financial reviews for energy investment feasibility assessment and preparing Financials for every Capital Acquisition Requests to seek funding from the Group's Capital Committee.
  • Responsible for attending monthly variance explanation meetings with the Group's Capital Committee to review the portfolio's monthly financial performance.
  • Assisting the team with the management of GMO's in-house data collection & analytics capabilities by co-developing tools with relevant internal stakeholders, identifying new KPI's and automating existing BI tools.
  • Collaborate with Ship Managers and Technical stakeholders regarding the financials for all energy optimization projects.
  • Responsible for constantly monitoring each active projects' G/L accounts and review all transactions to ensure that appropriate coding of invoices and POs is taking place.
  • Responsible for updating financials for any amendments or re-approvals as necessary in case the project is out of scope or if additional funding is needed and will be responsible for tracking transactions to mitigate significant overages.
  • Responsible for making sure that all data and information in eCAR is accurate per the latest updates on CAR managers, updated attachments, correct description on scope and correct financial information for each project.
  • Responsible for consolidating Construction-in-Progress (CIP) information for the Energy Management Capital portfolio to keep all projects and their CAR Managers' compliant with this quarterly key control.
  • Responsible for tracking capital savings as it relates to emissions for the energy retrofits lever of the corporate decarbonization strategy:
    • Will update actual savings in decarbonization model and track monthly performance.
    • Will update forecasted savings in decarbonization model on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Will be instrumental to further maintain a good relationship with the Capital Planning team and will be one of the main liaisons to make sure that the Energy Management team is in good financial standing on all projects put forward, with all SOX compliance requirements in mind.
  • Prepare presentations and communications for Management and Executive Committee.
  • Perform Frequent Ad Hoc Analysis / Updates as requested by Upper Management.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Strong Excel skills required. Strong analytics skill set is required for building and maintaining financial models. Power BI skills are a plus.
  • Need to possess long-term financial modeling and project/program management skills.
  • Must be well organized, pay close attention to detail, possess strong planning, and time management skills and demonstrate the proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, verbal, and written communications skills, with strong confidence in communicating with senior managers and executives.
  • Highly motivated, curious, collaborative, and innovative
  • Ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively quantify and justify value created to both analytical and non-analytical audiences.


QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Finance / Engineering / Business or other highly analytical field from an accredited college or university is required. Post graduate degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience within marine or travel industry is preferred.
  • Hands on experience using a data visualization tool, such as Power BI, Hyperion or Tableau.
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build, challenge and develop a high caliber team both shoreside and shipboard.
  • Travel 25% of the time.
