JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Finance Shared Services will be responsible for the daily management, leadership, and effectiveness of the Shared Services global organization, which supports the business. This position is responsible for providing excellent support to the business, under a strong control environment, while driving operational efficiencies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must hold a 4-year degree, preferably in accounting or finance, and have a minimum 8-10 years of experience. CPA or equivalent preferred.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
Candidate must have strong accounting, leadership, and motivational skills to effectively lead a global shared services team while supporting the business needs. They must also have excellent time management skills, key understanding of the business, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, while effectively delegating and holding the team accountable.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Candidate should have advanced technical, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Preferably has a strong working knowledge of JDE, Oracle EBS, and HFM.
JOB SUMMARY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage global shared services teams' duties and personnel requirements.
- Manage monthly accounting duties to include, but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations and lease accounting.
- Ensure financial close is reviewed and completed accurately and timely.
- Review and ensure compliance with all relevant governmental and company standards and regulations including GAAP and SOX.
- Partner with internal customers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services.
- Manage vendor maintenance.
- Liaise with automation team to delivery process improvements.
- Define and monitor system automation and efficiencies.
- Manage and govern finance master data.
- Standardize process design, implementation, and documentation of global end-to-end processes.
- Develop and administer the annual budget for the shared services team.
- Develop, monitor, and improve key performance indicators for shared services.
- Supervise maintenance of accounting records including accounts receivable, revenue recognition, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses.
- Provide required support for internal and external audits, as required.
- Review accounting and administrative controls for effectiveness.
- Prepare & present within NOV (training, updates, etc.).
- Complete any ad hoc requests as assigned by the business.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
