A Sr. Accountant / Controller (In the Trucking/Transportation Industry)

Our client is a leading logistics player in the area, committed to exceptional service to their well-known national clients. As they continue to expand, this opportunity presents itself to someone with strong accounting or bookkeeping education and experience who would like to step up to the next level.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar experience
- Work history reflective of bookkeeping and accounting is preferred
- Great organizational and leadership skills
- Familiar with QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Have demonstrated leadership skills and interested in leading a small team as we grow
- Transportation industry a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an improved process and procedures supporting the new department. Including: billing, bookkeeping and collections functions
- Lead a small team
- Use "Pallet" software and QuickBooks for financials and report needs
- Collaborate with other departments and company leadership and assist with other financial tasks and projects as needed.
