Sr Account Executive – Healthcare

Senior Account Manager

As an account supervisor you will be responsible for leading and managing a roster of healthcare clients and serve as a manager and mentor to your team of Account Managers or coordinators. We are seeking an organized, self-sufficient, independent, proactive account supervisor with agency experience. Specific experience in pharmaceutical or medical device accounts, is a definite plus.

Requirements
- 4-6 years’ experience within the agency environment.
- Experience in, and a passion for healthcare marketing
- Ability to handle multiple projects and clients at any one time is essential
- The account supervisor serves as the hub of a multi-faceted team, leading strategic and tactical initiatives across both traditional digital platforms
- Well-rounded person that realizes life isn’t all about “self”
- Creative thought leader and self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills

- Experience in pharmaceutical or medical technology brands is preferred, but not required
- College degree, MBA not required but certainly preferred
Client Overview
The primary focus will be to manage several brands (between 6-7) under the portfolio of a well-established client, nationally recognized as a leader in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
The AS is expected to work seamlessly with agency teams to bring client initiatives to completion. The AS also has fiscal accountability at the account level - including management of project and client budgets and account profitability and growth.
Strategic Planning
Ability to identify and constructively think about strategic client opportunities and marketing initiatives under the leadership of agency management.
Leverage the agency planning resources for development and presentation of strategic account plans, presentations.
Account Services
- Above all, execute marketing programs that yield the desired business results for our clients.
- Successfully manage, maintain and build client relationships to support agency growth.
- Maintain proactive communications with both client and management team on account and project status.
- Own project management for all account initiatives to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet or exceed client expectations
- Articulate, and adhere to, agreed-upon project directives and production guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with digital, creative, production and other teams to facilitate and complete client initiatives.
- Responsible for developing and advocating the positioning strategy for all creative projects.
- Sell the positioning strategy (creative brief) to clients and present to creative upon client approval.
- You are extremely comfortable presenting the agency's POV/Creative in a compelling, engaging non-combative way to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare or oversee accurate and timely internal communication: conference reports, status reports, budgets, etc.
Fiscal Accountability
- Initiate and sell in appropriate recommendations to support client objectives and grow account profitability.
- Work in conjunction with creative team, production manager and external resources to develop estimates and get them approved by our clients.
- Work with production manager and accounting rep on monthly billing for assigned clients.
- Participate in monthly client forecasting.

- Has demonstrated capabilities juggling a number of clients and client initiatives from strategic development to execution.
- Has successfully built trusted agency and client relationships in previous positions and a demonstrated track-record of generating organic growth thanks to exceptional work.
- Has a voracious appetite for learning about your clients’ businesses and about the world of advertising but also brings existing experience and knowledge of real estate marketing.
- Sets a motivational tone and establishes a high degree of optimism focused on the people you work with and the clients we work for.
- Is outgoing and persuasive and very comfortable meeting new people. Optimistic and upbeat in appearance, flexible with others, and uses a persuasive and "selling" communication style.
- Is a good listener that will glean the important information from team and client and be able to articulate those points, when required.
- Derives energy from others and gives positive energy right back to them - whether it is in the actual work environment or simply in a social situation.
- Is very flexible, adaptable to change and pressure, due to shifting priorities or deadlines. You respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems that can occur throughout their work responsibilities.
- Sometimes perceived as impatient, but in reality, driven to react quickly and juggle tasks simultaneously. Pushes yourself and those around you to perform at peak levels.
- Has a high emotional IQ - attentive to the needs of others but keeps an eye on the objective needs of the situation.

- Engages proactively in using agency resources to develop and present a strategic direction for accounts in partnership with the account leadership and to own all project management of related client initiatives.
