The DREAM Student Recruitment team is looking for part-time support with generating new applications for our East Harlem, Mott Haven and Highbridge campuses. Reporting to the Director of Student Recruitment, Student Recruitment Support staff will be given weekly assignments to execute as part of the Student Recruitment strategy. Ideal team members will enjoy talking to new people, have both a love for and deep knowledge of DREAM schools and be comfortable with Data Entry.
Responsibilities
- Make phone calls to prospective families;
- Enter applications in DREAM’s database;
- Record call outcomes in a tracker.
Qualifications
- Can effectively communicate with prospective families over the phone and serve as a positive ambassador for DREAM;
- Proficient in spoken Spanish, preferred;
- Ability to make calls primarily between the hours of 5-8pm;
- Some weekend availability to make calls, preferred;
- Customer service orientation;
- Effective time management and ability to prioritize;
- Ability to keep information organized in order to complete tasks in a timely manner;
- Ability to enter data accurately and in a timely manner;
- Ability to learn and accurately use databases;
- Familiarity with SchoolMint, preferred;
- A strong belief in the mission and values of DREAM, including the belief that all students can succeed, and a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of our students, families, and community.
Commitment
- Start date: 3/8/24
- End date: 4/26/24
- Hours and schedule:
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week, must be available between 5-8pm on weekdays
- Required: Friday March 8th: Onboarding and Recruitment Training (via zoom)
- Required: Wednesday April 3rd, from 4-8pm: 2024-25 SY Lottery Day
- There may be some additional, optional hours available on weekends
- Must be able to reliably work remotely via internet and phone
Compensation
- DREAM offers competitive compensation. The hourly rate for this position is $20 per hour.
