BASIC FUNCTION:
The Spiritual Care Associate reports to the Director of Spiritual Life. The primary function of this position is to provide Spiritual Care to aging residents.
Relational Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable of each residents name, religious affiliation, core beliefs and honor their practices and personal faith disciplines. Maintain an ecumenical attitude.
Provide Leadership for serving communion to home-bound residents.
Welcome and prepare a pastoral care report of new residents.
Visit residents in the hospital as needed
In coordination with hospice care staff, assist dying residents and families with preserving their dignity, spiritual needs, empathy, and understanding.
Provide Leadership and participation during Sunday school and Worship.
Provide Leadership for Bible Study and Devotional activities
Assist in providing a caring positive atmosphere with staff, residents, families, and visitors. Allow JFC core values to inform decisions and choices.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and coordinating Spiritual Life activities
Assist with developing and delivering correspondence to residents and family members.
Educational Requirements:
Seminary Education (Masters of Divinity preference)

Ordained Ministry setting

Practical Ministry setting
