Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Safe Hands Home Health Care LLC. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve speech and language skills
- Assist patients in developing alternative communication methods, such as sign language or augmentative and alternative communication devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
