We are currently seeking a part-time Speech, Language, and Hearing Specialist to join our team at Warren State Hospital located in Warren, Pennsylvania.
The Speech, Language, and Hearing (SLH) Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive Speech, Language, and Hearing Assessments and reassessments for patients within assigned hospital/facility. Feeding Evaluations and Sign Language Interpretive Services will also be conducted when requested by the treatment team. The SLH Specialist will serve as a supportive coach for patients who are deaf to assist them in learning independent living skills, improving their communication skills, and preparing them for life in their communities. Participation on various SLH-related committees will also be required, as requested.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech and Language Pathology program
- Current license in applicable state to practice Speech, Language and Hearing
- CPR certification
- Experience performing swallow evaluations preferred
- Candidate should demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills
Available Shift: part time, days, 20 hours/week
