10 Month - 187 days as per current PSEA agreement, Certification-as required by the PA Dept of Education. This position will be located primarily in Cambria County. Itinerant SLP position that is able to provide services to students age 3-21
Job Summary:
The overall objective of speech-language pathology services is to optimize an individual's ability to communicate, thereby improving quality of life and educational achievement.
Qualifications:
- Certification as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- Must have at least 3.0 GPA overall.
- Acceptable Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
- Must be able to interpret, analyze and problem solve.
- Must be able to converse and interact with individuals with diverse levels of education and abilities.
- Must be able to read and understand documents relating to federal, state and local mandates as well as materials relating to education.
Working Conditions:
Instructional environment. Some positions may be itinerant and require travel in personal vehicle. Positions in prisons, detention homes, or secure treatment facilities are locked as required by the level of security established for the facility.
