Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a committed school based Speech Language Pathology Assistants SLPA to join a school district in Chulu Vista, CA.The qualified school based Speech Language Pathology Assistants SLPAs will act as the students' partner throughout their daily tasks and assist students to function at their personal best. Speech Language Pathology Assistants SLPAs will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation. Experienced and new grad Speech Language Pathology Assistants SLPA are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities of a school based Speech Language Pathology Assistant SLPA:
• Administers screening protocols
• Transports students to/from testing or therapy area
• Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the Speech Language Pathologist
• Communicates with students and other professions to meet the emotional needs of students
• Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists
• Managers behavior using appropriately designed management techniques
• Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions
• Performs clerical and administrative functions, when necessary
• Grade level Pre K - High School
• 2023 - 2024 school year
• Submits all billing logs and necessary information on a timely basis
