Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Full Time
Introduction: Soliant, a reputable contract agency specializing in healthcare staffing, is actively seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in a school district near Arvada, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the academic and municative development of students in the 5th to 8th grade. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the educational team, providing essential speech and language services to support a caseload of 41 students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to students in 5th to 8th grade.
- Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist to design and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of targeted intervention strategies.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to student development.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable insights and contributing to the collaborative team.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license.
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in an educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with the unique needs of students in the 5th to 8th grade age range.
- Strong munication skills to effectively collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist, teachers, parents, and other team members.
- mitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
- Availability to work 4-5 days per week during regular school hours, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
