Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager - Content Strategy Social Media Lead.
In this role, the successful candidate is a seasoned Content Strategy Social Media Lead (Senior Manager). This position will have a significant impact on the development and delivery of Content Strategy across all of NYULHs far-reaching and influential platforms, with a focus on driving Content Strategy for assigned platforms. This role will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance NYULHs presence and increase engagement.
Reporting to the Head of Cross-Channel Content Strategy (Director), this position will drive end-to-end storytelling on Social Media channels for the institution across platforms as aligned with institutional strategy. This position will protect and promote NYULHs brand and foster its growth through compelling storytelling as guided by strategic insights to captivate audiences and drive meaningful engagement with personalized and relevant content to ensure NYULHs inspirational voice is heard.

Job Responsibilities:

Content Strategy:

      • Own and develop Content Strategy for assigned Social Media platforms to enhance content creation, distribution, and optimization in a way that amplifies reach and impact; work closely with the Director of Cross-Channel Content Strategy to strategize and expand presence and team
      • Develop innovative content strategies for assigned platforms in partnership with the Head of Cross-Channel Content Strategy (Director) and Platform Managers that are reflective of institutional goals and the NYULH brand and drive towards Content Strategy & Development team’s objectives
      • Manage multiple content campaigns and support development of the institution's Content Strategy agenda, identifying and embedding emerging trends to establish NYULH as a content leader for assigned platforms
      • Define and incorporate audience segmentation and platforms’ users for assigned platforms to customize Content Strategy to meet user needs and improve the user experience
      • Conduct qualitative audits to drive consistency across all initiatives and campaigns for assigned platforms to deliver the highest quality user experience
      • Drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth through various content strategies and initiatives for assigned platforms
      • Ensure a consistent and impactful content experience across all assigned platforms and tools
      • Adjust content strategies for assigned platforms based on emerging trends as appropriate

Content Development and Execution:

      • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar for assigned platforms, ensuring timely and relevant content updates
      • Establish content governance processes, guidelines, and standards; develop and communicate content standards and nuances for assigned platforms as needed
      • Collaborate with Content Strategy Lead peers to ensure that all content aligns cohesively with NYULH’s broader Content Strategy to increase reputation and amplify brand
      • Evaluate key metrics against key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-driven enhancements to content strategies
      • Monitor and improve audience engagement across all initiatives for assigned platforms

Collaboration and Influence:

      • Partner with Content Strategy Lead peers to ensure content release schedules are aligned (when required) across all channels to reinforce consistent messaging and user experience
      • Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including world-renowned physicians, researchers, and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for new and curated content that meets the needs of various target audiences
      • Collaborate with the Media Relations team to effectively spotlight and optimize communications opportunities for media stories across assigned platforms
      • Partner with Brand Standards and Governance Lead to ensure all content aligns with NYULH brand guidelines


Operational Excellence:

    • Efficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent work
    • Leverage tracking tools to measure and define success compared to other institutions in specialty areas

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 8+ years of experience in Social MediaContent Strategy and storytelling for large organizations
Experience implementing an employee engagement platform (such as Elevate, Sprout Social Employee Advocacy, EveryoneSocial) that enables employees to easily share branded content to their own Social Media accounts.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies across platforms
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles, digital design, and information architecture
Passion for storytelling, content creation, and audience engagements
Excellent verbal and written communications and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated track record of effective stakeholder management
Ability to understand and learn from data-driven insights
Proficiency in leveraging tools and platforms to improve content creation, distribution, and performance tracking
Analytical mindset guiding decision-making
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
Marketing experience in the healthcare industry

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.83 - $123,078.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
