We are currently seeking a Director, Social Media Strategy to join out Marketing team reporting to the VP, Social Strategy based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own Social Media management, execution, optimization, and reporting for key tentpole marketing campaigns supporting AMCN shows, brands and streaming services.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and implement multiple editorial calendars, inclusive of all social platforms
  • Partner closely with creative, production, and communications/PR teams to inform and build a clear AMCN social strategy roadmap in conjunction with VP of social strategy
  • Own the department’s performance analytics and general social sentiment needs across all platforms and report KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis. Lead and present quarterly business reviews to senior leadership
  • Learn, understand, and advocate (internally and externally) the social voice, tone, and visual identity of multiple brands/shows
  • Ideate, spearhead, and lead key projects within the Social Media team – such as rebrands, multi-show collaborations, external partnerships, and the like.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience
  • Deep experience in building and guiding teams and supporting individuals in a fast passed environment
  • Experience building, supporting, and scaling cross-functional social marketing campaigns
  • Deep experience in mining and using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements in plans and strategies
  • Exceptional copywriting and copyediting skills
  • Expert proficiency in social platform native tools, in-platform analytics, as well as Sprout or other external analytics and scheduling platforms
  • Strong innovative thinker with an eagerness to meet and exceed goals and targets
  • Deep understanding of entertainment industry knowledge and Social Media best practices across platforms
  • Adaptability and flexibility to the changing needs of the team
  • Excellent time management, ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Experience growing a following organically and building fandoms
  • Preferred
    • Previous experience in television / entertainment field
    • Previous experience with streaming services
    • Experience with paid social strategy
    • Experience with creative software suites (Adobe and/or Canva), and comfort with adjusting and optimizing various file types (e.g., images, video, motion graphics, etc.)
    • Experience with covering live events, including Watch Parties, Premieres, Red Carpets, etc.
    • Prior knowledge of AMCN shows and properties
The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 commensurate with experience.
