Specialist II, Quality Assurance is responsible for assisting management with the maintenance of the Quality Systems at SGS. The Quality Assurance Specialist must be sensitive to the demanding regulatory compliance requirements attending to the operation of a pharmaceutical testing laboratory. This job also requires the ability to demonstrate a high commitment to interpersonal relations.
Job Functions
- Ensure the cGMP compliance of data and approve certificates and reports in a timely and effective manner
- Ensure the laboratory is operating within established parameters governing company quality and regulatory specifications
- Ensure customer requests or complaints are dealt with effectively according to applicable SOPs
- Participate in customer audits and answer customer questions or resolve customer concerns
- Assist Management in addressing and resolving Corrective or Preventive actions
- Play a lead role in the approval of deviation forms, Out-of-Specification, or Out-of-Trend investigations
- Play a lead role and assist the Team Leader or Quality Assurance Manager in improving the internal efficiency and overall compliance of the laboratory
- Assist in the performance of the internal audit program
- Assist in the maintenance and storage of records within the department
- Participate in the preparation and review of appropriate department SOPs, worksheets, and data forms
- BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related sciences
- 3+ years of experience in a regulated commercial lab environment
- Knowledge of scientific principles and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)"
