Job Description
This is an entry level position that provides direct support to the Water Transfer business unit regarding automation equipment used in the process of transferring fluids, engineering of hydraulic piping systems, and technological solutions used in the company. Specifically, the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of fluid hydraulic design, mechanical and electrical equipment, and computer-based applications.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Works under direct supervision of Vice President of Operations.
- Hydraulic design for multi-pump temporary piping systems for overland water transfer operations.
- Manage and execute centralized basic equipment repair laboratory.
- Learn and operate a SCADA interface.
- Help develop internal applications for: drones, RC boats, wireless communication, remote monitoring and control, and others.
- Provides technical and operational support to field automation personnel.
- Maintains an organized, efficient, and safe working environment.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- B.S. in engineering, I&E focused trade school, or equivalent.
- Self-directed, organized, and self-motivated to accomplish goals.
- Familiarity with Internal Flow and Pump Theory (established engineering tool provided by company).
- VBA or Programming Skills (training and certification pipeline provided by company).
- PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA experience (training and certification pipeline provided by company).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Must be procedural and proactive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Traditional Monday through Friday, 8 - 5 pm, unless operational tempo and requirements dictate otherwise.
- Position works inside a climate-controlled environment a majority of the time.

- Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment.
- Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs.
