Position Details(CSR):
- Contacts patients to go over Insurance coverage.
- Determines when an order will stay in house or be sent to a 3rd party vendor to be processed.
- Faxes off for medical records and prescriptions that may be needed to finalize the order.
- Communicates with the sales reps and regionals on a as needed basis.
- Accurately documents all correspondence in Med Act.
- Sends orders to the orders desk to be filled and shipped.
- Accurately completes Med Act, to ensure proper billing.
- Will handle all negotiations (self-pay, anything less than 100% coverage)
- Will handle all orders where criteria will need to be met.
- Add doctors and clinics.
Position Details(Billings and Collections):
- Process/Submit electronic and paper claims (1500 forms) to Insurance companies for payment.
- Work A/R and callback reports daily involves contacting payer for payment. (Aging A/R is completed 2 times monthly.)
- Maintain a good number of productive calls per day. (Patients and insurance)
- Work incoming mail daily, includes claim denials, requests for additional information and undeliverable mail.
- Patient correspondence involves set-up payment arrangements, mail monthly statements, handling and resolve customer complaints.
- Set up accounts for first level insurance appeals.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of a Drug Screen
- 1-2 years of Customer Service with insurance and/or medical background required.
- Proficient in a clerical, office setting; familiarity with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
