Description:
Essential Responsibilities
- Substation Design Engineering
- Prepare and plan profile drawings, construction drawings, and specifications
- Develop complete material lists for projects
- Assure all SUBSTATION DESIGNs meet strength and safety requirements of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and/or Rural Utility System (RUS) design manual
- Engineering Analysis
- Perform foundation and grading design calculations
- Perform structural design and strength calculations
- Design physical substation layouts for both transmission and distribution sites
- Project Management
- Project scoping, planning and estimating of substation projects
- Consultant, contractor, and construction coordination and management
- Operations and Maintenance Support
- Provide day-to-day guidance and technical expertise to operations and maintenance personnel
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
