SUPERVISES: Contract Security personnel
PURPOSE:
- Responsible for the physical security, loss prevention and safety in a large format store
- Supervise contract security associates and monitors security systems in a large format multiple brand environment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enforce company Policies and Procedures
- Investigate known or suspected internal/external theft
- Monitor POS exception reports and follow up significant exceptions
- Conduct store training audits to identify problem areas or procedural deficiencies
- Monitor CCTV, fire, and burglar alarm systems
- Respond, report, and investigate customer/employee accidents
- Promote and maintain a high level of security associate performance, morale and safety awareness; counsel security associates for unacceptable performance/attendance issues
- Issue access/identification badges as needed
- Maintain Security Officer Training Manual
- Maintain LP/Security systems (CCTV, EAS, Access Control, Safe Audit, Tour Guard, etc.)
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes
- Serve as a witness during integrity conversations
- Inspect buildings, equipments, and access points to determine security risks
- Maintain reports/documentations on security related incidents and investigations
- Inspect, test, and maintain sprinkler/standpipe system in store (require to pass FDNY Certificate of Fitness exam within 90 days of employment)*
- Train store associates and management in Loss Prevention policies and procedures
- Testify in civil or criminal court proceedings
- Perform other duties as assigned
AUTHORITY:
- Location based LP Specialist position responsible for all aspects of physical security, LP training, safety, and investigation
- Direct work of contract security officers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree a plus, but not required
- Store management experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Average computer skills
- Good problem solving ability and a high sense of urgency

- Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
