The Data Care Specialist is responsible for coordinating and performing all clerical needs for the assigned team and ensuring customer satisfaction and flow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
- Analytical skills, professional acumen, business ethics, thorough understanding of continuous improvement processes, problem solving, respect for confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
- Implements and maintains designated processes in the assigned team (including, but not limited to the following processes):
- Greets and directs consumers, vendors, and other visitors
- Answers and directs incoming calls
- Screens consumer needs, without making a clinical judgment
- Maintains 90% accuracy of demographic information in PsychConsult
- Reviews IDRCs entered by providers within timeframe identified by DADS
- Informs TL of discrepancies for IDRCs entered by providers
- Reviews IPCs entered by providers within timeframe identified by DADS
- Informs TL of discrepancies for IPCs entered by providers
- Attends Enrollments meetings and explains consents
- Documents information given at enrollment meetings
- Copying, faxing, and all other general office duties
- Orders needed supplies for team
- Attends regional and team meetings as directed
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Meets designated benchmarks and/or quality measures
- Cross Functions and performs Medical Records duties
- Identifies needs and brings issues to the attention of the LA Business Support
- Presents to consumers and staff in an attentive, friendly, & professional manner
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School graduate with some college or technical school/training with a minimum of 4 years of progressive customer service experience required. Experience in HCS and CARE system required. Bi-lingual preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts to accurately report financial data.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
