The Data Care Specialist is responsible for coordinating and performing all clerical needs for the assigned team and ensuring customer satisfaction and flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws

• Analytical skills, professional acumen, business ethics, thorough understanding of continuous improvement processes, problem solving, respect for confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
• Implements and maintains designated processes in the assigned team (including, but not limited to the following processes):
  • Greets and directs consumers, vendors, and other visitors
  • Answers and directs incoming calls
  • Screens consumer needs, without making a clinical judgment
  • Maintains 90% accuracy of demographic information in PsychConsult
  • Reviews IDRCs entered by providers within timeframe identified by DADS
  • Informs TL of discrepancies for IDRCs entered by providers
  • Reviews IPCs entered by providers within timeframe identified by DADS
  • Informs TL of discrepancies for IPCs entered by providers
  • Attends Enrollments meetings and explains consents
  • Documents information given at enrollment meetings
• Copying, faxing, and all other general office duties
• Orders needed supplies for team
• Attends regional and team meetings as directed
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity and confidentiality
• Meets designated benchmarks and/or quality measures
• Cross Functions and performs Medical Records duties
• Identifies needs and brings issues to the attention of the LA Business Support
• Presents to consumers and staff in an attentive, friendly, & professional manner

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduate with some college or technical school/training with a minimum of 4 years of progressive customer service experience required. Experience in HCS and CARE system required. Bi-lingual preferred.
  MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts to accurately report financial data.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
