Position Overview
Join our clinical research team as a Warehouse Specialist in this temporary three-month position.
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing warehouse materials, creating stock level reports, and retrieving stock and other equipment from offsite locations. The Warehouse Specialist will assure accuracy of all stock entering our inventory system. This position will also perform some technical aspects such as trouble shooting systems and possibly diagnosing issues with equipment. This position will also assist in other duties as assigned by the warehouse Manager.
What You'll Be Working On
Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
Welcoming of delivery trucks and oversee the unloading process.
Efficiently receive, monitor, and document all incoming shipments.
Utilize appropriate tools to carefully load merchandise onto delivery trucks.
Methodically track and record the arrivals and departures of shipments.
Adhere to instructions for tagging and labeling merchandise accurately.
Categorize and stock merchandise meticulously based on size and type specifications.
Employ established procedures and standards to box and pack merchandise for outgoing shipments.
Prepare all orders diligently to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
Competently operate warehouse management tools such as the Pallet Jack.
Enter precise data into inventory and logistics software programs, following company warehouse operating procedures.
Generate and compile reports and audits as required.
Conduct weekly cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Perform data entry tasks into the Warehouse Management System with precision.
Collaborate with other departments as directed by management, fostering effective communication.
Physical and Travel Requirements
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb ladders to perform work. Employees must also possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing between 50 to 100 pounds with the proper equipment.
Equipment used for work are rolling carts, dollies, Pallet jacks and mechanical pallet stacker i.e. (Walking Stacker).
Other equipment: hand tools for constructing shelfs, installing appliances and laptops for general data entry.
What You Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience driving large vehicles or trucks.
Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
Proficient in the Microsoft office suite of programs
The ability to lift more up to 60 pounds.
Great physical stamina and manual dexterity
Team player and can strive in a fast-paced environment.
Good organizational and time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Good Problem solver
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
High School Diploma
2 years of experience as a Warehouse Worker
