Special Education teacher needed | Summer + 23/24 school year

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with disabilities and providing inclusive education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other school staff.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Teach core academic subjects, such as math, reading, and writing, using specialized instruction techniques
• Use assistive technology, accommodations, and modifications to support students' access to the curriculum
• Collaborate with other school staff, including general Education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers, to support students' academic and social-emotional needs
• Conduct ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to inform instruction and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and behavior
• Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• MA teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of Special Education laws and regulations
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary clearances
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with fulltime hours.
