Job Title: Preschool & Elementary Teachers

The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp, an accredited day camp located in Chestnut Hill, MA. and is currently looking for an experienced preschool or elementary teacher to join their team!
Summer 2024 dates are: June 24th-August 16th (partial summers may also be available).

Position:
This is a lead teacher/counselor seasonal position and entails engaging and caring for campers ages 4-5, sharing daily tasks with assistant staff, and implementing enjoyable art, science, music and/or movements lessons. Staff will be provided with training, support and daily schedules to follow. Daily camper supervision also includes arrival, dismissal, lunch, playground, and changing for swim. Campers have instructional swim lessons each day, which are taught by our certified swim staff.

Additional Duties

● Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
● Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
● Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
● Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff.
● Enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.

Qualifications and Skills: (Minimum Qualifications and Experience)
⬥ B.S in education (or working towards a B.S, in education)
⬥ Experience and/or knowledge to support children with diverse learning needs
⬥ Classroom management skills to create a structured and engaging learning environment
⬥ Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues

Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per day

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
