Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Muskego, Wisconsin Area
Location: Muskego, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Start Date: March 12th, 2024 - End of School Year (June 9th, 2024)
Daily Start/End Times: 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM (38.25 hours/week)
Are you an experienced Special Education Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs? Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Muskego, Wisconsin area. In this role, you will work with cross-categorical 5th and 6th-grade students as well as early childhood learners, providing essential support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, including behavioral interventions and academic acmodations.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in cross-categorical 5th and 6th-grade classrooms as well as early childhood settings.
- Collaborate and co-plan with general Education Teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all students.
- Address behavioral issues through positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) and other evidence-based strategies.
- Write and hold IEP meetings, ensuring that student progress is regularly monitored and documented.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including cross-categorical and early childhood populations
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and positive behavior interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers and support staff
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
