Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, and three - five years of relevant experience
- Creative, team-oriented, nimble and solution focused.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks within given deadlines.
- Highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented.
- Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills for a variety of formats such as print, online, as well as familiarity with various writing styles including informative, entertaining and promotional.
- Familiarity with online content management systems (preferable Word Press) and current social media tools, the best practices for their usage and general digital marketing tactics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Essential Job Functions:
- Management of 3rd Party vendors and freelance providers
- Ensuring messaging is consistent and cohesive with institutional brand across all media and advertising channels, social media, website etc. for internal and external stakeholders
- Executing strategic Marketing and Communications efforts supporting fundraising, enrollment and other marketing initiatives
- Create, manage and implement annual communication and content management plan and editorial calendar.
- Develop content for College blog, manage weekly employee newsletter
- Work with PR partner on press releases, organic social media, media guide, campus employee spotlights and annual crisis communications plan
- Lead development of the annual college magazine, planning issue, overseeing other contributors and providing the majority of editorial content, proofreading and layout and design support. In addition, plan and execute rollout for the magazine's annual release.
- Provide writing, editing and proofreading direction for College publications, website, advertising and marketing initiatives and collateral material projects, keeping brand identity guidelines in mind at all times.
- Support various photography/video services for the College, working with outside vendors to produce shoots and assist with creative efforts as needed.
- Train web editors for each area of the College and provide website updates, editing and support. Review and approve all edits.
- Responsible for emergency communications planning and execution

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
