ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations –The salary range for the position is $57,246.53 - $90,885.17. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
- Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36 hour work week) Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
THE ROLE
Performs a broad range of highly responsible, complex and confidential administrative support and higher-level clerical coordination duties for the Department Director. Handles confidential and/or sensitive information requiring use of significant discretion. Responsibilities involve a high degree of planning and coordination activities and may include facilitating administrative processes by serving as a team leader on delegated administrative support matters. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in business communication, communications or a field related to a function of municipal government. Bachelor’s degree preferred; and
- Five (5) years of full-time progressively responsible administrative and analytical experience performing organizational and operational analysis work in a government or business capacity, including experience as a supervisor. Two (2) years of recent supervisory experience preferred.
- Equivalency: May substitute a combination of equivalent education and experience. The city assesses 1 year of fulltime experience as equivalent to one year of education.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
SELECTION PROCESS

- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- Online Assessment (Weighted 50%, Passing Score 70%) - The most qualified individuals will be invited to participate in an online assessment that will measure candidates ability to proofread, maintain attention to detail, basic mathematical ability, customer service, and may include items related to performing the essential functions of the positions.
- Virtual Pre-screen – Top scoring candidates from the online assessment will be invited to participate in a virtual screening process.
- Oral Board Interview (Weighted 50%, Passing Score 70%) - Dates to be determined.
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
