Collins Aerospace is looking for a SparesBusiness Engineer, this position will be responsible in supporting Spares at the Chula Vista campus. The role supports global airline customers ensuring orders and requests for quotes are processed in support of customer’s need dates, supporting the shared procurement organization ensuring the system is complete for purchasing activity and committing part numbers according to engineering.

This is an On-Site position at our Chula Vista, CA facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Automate Power BI reports for key processes.

• Implement new technologies.

• 3D Scanning application

• Incorporate Engineering changes supporting manufacturing and purchasing activity.

• Design tools to support customers.

• Review and commit airline customer orders and quotes.

• Write Engineering Change Requests.

• Support procurement and suppliers of flight items by resolving questions related to engineering, material, tooling, and manufacturing problems.

• Innovate and develop new manufacturing processes.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

• U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, and /or Aerospace Engineering.

• Metal Mechanic experience or knowledge of Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, and Steel.

• Experience with sheet metal and assembly processes.

• Experience with 2D Drawings and 3D models.

• Project Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and manage time effectively. 

• Must have solid organizational skills

• CNC experience.

• Experience with PowerBI

• Experience with SAP (Optional)

• Strong effective communication skills

• Demonstrated experience using motivation, creativity, ownership, urgency, and interpersonal skills to drive results.

• Experience using strong planning and execution skills.

• Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, including team members, suppliers, and customers.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
