Summary
This position is responsible to ensure interpretation from Spanish to English and English to Spanish; both written and verbal. Communicating between customers, clients, team members and executives. Must be able to compile information, maintain the style and tone of the original text, follow work schedules and secure new translation projects. Translating verbal communication in real time, reciting everything verbatim. Must be able to make class syllabus and lead small classes translating.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow company, Departmental, and Section Level Hoshin Kanri and targets.
- Follow procedures outlined by company 3-pillar processes.
- Responsible for providing interpretation from Spanish to English and English to Spanish in real time, both verbally and written.
- Responsible for maintaining positive employee relations with team members, management, and external affiliates/entities.
- Responsibilities may include teaching English members Spanish or vice versa.
- Ensure Communications throughout the section; also to external sections (Ex: Manufacturing, Logistics, etc).
- Assist with accurate translations for Exempt, Non-Exempt, and Japanese Coordinators (APS) employees as required.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate HR, Safety, and Security standards.
- Will perform all other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise English to Spanish and/or Spanish to English dojo members.

Qualifications, Education & Experience required
- Fluent Spanish and English translation abilities required (Verbal and Written).
- Applicable experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: ECU, Mounting, Sensor, Production Control, Engineering, Logistics and Quality.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Electronics background and/or experience preferred.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.

- AISIN corporate headquarters members.
- All other AEIL departments.
- All other various outside vendors, local community.
- Local, State, and federal agencies.
Work Environment.
- Open office area with constant activity and interaction with cross-functional divisions, departments, and sections. Must be able to effectively change tasks at a moment's notice when the situation requires.
- Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional lifting.
- Minimal exposure to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.
- Minimal exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils. The performance of this position normally requires exposure similar to general office work, with a few minimal exceptions. There are areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses.
