Description:
Law Office of David M. Sperling has an immediate opening for a Spanish Speaking Associate Attorney’s for our Long Island offices in CENTRAL ISLIP, HEMPSTEAD, HUNTINGTON STATION, & RIVERHEAD OFFICES. The core duties and responsibilities of the Attorney are:
- Providing legal support and guidance to clients.
- Attend Master Calendars, pretrial hearings and hearings to represent client in court.
- Provide supervision and guidance to Office Staff.
- Meeting with clients to critically discuss cases and strategize on how best to provide and find ethical solutions to legal matters.
- Communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and provide them with essential pieces of advice.
- Enlightening clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes or threats.
- Developing ideal arguments and strategies.
- Staying informed about any current legislation as immigration rules, laws and procedures rapidly change.
- Build trustworthy relationships with clients
- Write and prepare legal documents such as Statements, Affidavits, Motions, Appeals, Pre-trial briefs, PSG briefs, NOIDs, RFEs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare as needed, Evidence Packets/Submissions or any other forms, petitions, applications and documentation for cases.
- Traveling on regular basis to Immigration Court in New York City and other venues of long island.
- Must have valid Bar Admission (preferably NY).
- Be available to provide assistance to any of the four Law Office Locations.
- Be available to work on the Saturday rotation.
- All attorneys should be notaries.
- Attend company community events during business hours as well as, occasionally, outside of the normal business hour.
