Associate Attorney - Landlord/Tenant Practice

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced attorney with a minimum of 1 year of legal practice, preferably with court experience and a background in Landlord/Tenant law. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily court appearances, handling motion practice, and providing strategic legal counsel to our clients.   Outside of court, remote work is available.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct daily court appearances on behalf of clients in Landlord/Tenant matters.
2. Draft and argue motions related to Landlord/Tenant disputes.
3. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
4. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategies.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the New York State Bar.
3. Minimum of 1 year of legal practice, with a focus on Landlord/Tenant law preferred.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
6. Proven research and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with Landlord/Tenant negotiations and settlements.
2. Familiarity with local court rules and procedures within the different NYC boroughs.
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
