If you have a track record of success in quota-bearing sales engineering roles and thrive off of a fast-paced, collaborative culture where you can make an impact, you may be a fit for this position within the Responsive Sales Engineering/Solution Consulting team.

The Solutions Consultant is responsible for supporting and enabling the Sales team to successfully close opportunities across the entire Sales cycle. A successful SC will be a self-starter and not only develop a comprehensive understanding of the software but will work closely with our customers to assess their unique needs, challenges, pain points and create tailored solutions through customized demos and Proof of Concepts (POC's) to articulate product value to prospects. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with other teams within the organization, such as marketing, customer success, and product development, to align strategies and meet customer needs.

As a member of this rapidly growing team, the Solutions Consultant will have a direct impact on Responsive's Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and will provide prospective customer feedback that will directly impact the development and improvement of the company's cornerstone software.

Location: Hybrid in Dallas TX; Portland OR; Boston MA; Kansas City Metro areas

Key Responsibilities
  • Keep up to date on the latest developments in the SaaS space and develop an in-depth understanding of the platform.
  • Work closely with customers to assess their unique needs, challenges, and pain points.
  • Create tailored solutions and drive customized demos and Proof of Concepts (POC's) to articulate product value to prospects.
  • Actively track and respond to RFIs, RFPs and Security questionnaires from prospects.
  • Provide technical support during the sales process, addressing questions, concerns, and technical issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization, such as marketing, customer success, and product development, to align strategies and meet customer needs.
  • Continue to extend support to customers after the sale by addressing technical issues, assisting with onboarding, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the SE operating model and suggest process improvements that could positively impact the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Customer centric mindset with excellent problem solving and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the bid and response management industry
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a Pre-sales, Sales Engineer, Solution Consulting or Customer Support role at a product-based firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical specialization

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-4 experience with SaaS solutions.
  • Proficient understanding of the Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) and associated technologies.
  • Familiarity with Sales Enablement tools, CRMs & Collaboration platforms
  • Ability to be agile, work and deliver independently in a fast-paced environment.
