Position Summary:

Manage the day-today operations and profitability of Capital’s Solutions Center.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales leaders, and the operations team to deliver consistent, responsive, and innovative solutions to our customer base.
  • Manage Square D’s FlexSet initiative, producing profitable switchboard solutions for our commercial clients.
  • Engage with Capital leadership to develop and launch new Solution Center offerings.
  • Proactively engage with Capital clients to develop new Solution Center offerings.
  • Appropriately staff Solutions Center to meet production schedules.  Hire, train, coach, and develop associates.
  • Manage production and shipping schedules, coordinating with sales, supply chain, logistics, and procurement.
  • Develop, document, and maintain quality guidelines.  Create testing procedures to ensure Capital delivers a consistent and quality solution.  Follow any and all manufacturers quality and testing recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage Solutions Center inventory, following Capital’s inventory control protocols.
  • Procure and maintain necessary tooling and equipment to deliver consistent solutions efficiently and profitably.
  • Review monthly financials.
  • Maintain Solutions Center space to present a neat, safe, and secure environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing (panel shop) or skilled trades and/or equivalent knowledge.  Electrical or mechanical background a plus.  Previous experience as a manager.
  • Trade school or technical degree preferred.
  • Strong organization and management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
