Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
- Assist with procedures/ injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
-Faxing/scanning and forwarding visit notes to primary care/referring physicians using Ring Central.
- Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, obtain medical records:image reports, Lab reports, EMG/nerve conduction
- Schedule connections, (fluoroscopic-guidance and other guided procedures.
-Assist with setting up fluoroscopic machine and RFA machine/storing and saving imagines to patient charts using Drchrono EMR.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in pain management in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation.
- Knowledge of NSAIDS, muscle relaxants, blood thinners, anti-seizure medications .
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, such as insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
- Ability to accurately perform vital signs measurements and interpret results fast and effectively.
- Familiarity or knowledge of commonly performed procedures such as: epidurals, medial branch blocks, and radio-frequency ablation, joint injections, and spine segments: cervical, thoracic, sacral and coccygeal.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent patient service skills, including active listening and effective communication.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) DrChrono,systems for documentation and scheduling.
_Proficient in Microsoft Office and patient management software.
-Experience in using RingCentral, DrChrono EMR, CRISP and Clover payment system
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
