Job Objectives
Solution Engineers are client-facing members of the technical team so they will work closely with our client success team. As a Solution Engineer in Lightbeam, you will ensure that clients are successful and achieve their goals utilizing Lightbeam’s comprehensive product lines. Working in tandem with our client success teammates, you will be accountable for identifying, researching, presenting, getting buy-in, and operationalizing solutions to address clients’ needs in a timely manner. Other objectives for this role include fulfilling technical client requests (both ad-hoc and recurring) using readily available tools, deploying automation workflows to improve operation processes, and functioning as a technical liaison between external clients and internal development teammates to inform enterprise support and product development.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand Lightbeam solutions & services in depth and function as a subject matter expert for non-technical teammates.
- Optimize configurations of Lightbeam solutions to address clients’ prioritized use cases.
- Lead presentations, provide consultations, and communicate directly with clients through various channels, including Teams, e-mail, phone, and in-person meetings.
- Conduct data analyses to quantify the value generated by Lightbeam’s different products.
- Assess client needs, determine enhancement requirements, and work closely with the Product team to deliver the clients’ desired features and enhancements.
- Work closely with development teams in support of data extractions, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
- Monitor and support of data extractions, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and perform debugging and forensic operations as necessary.
- Maintain cross-departmental collaboration and communication, building positive culture with all teammates throughout the company.
Required Skills and Qualifications
This is an associate-level position that requires strong comfort level with learning technical systems and interfacing with clients. Clients range from field workers to Executive Buyers to C-Level leaders so empathy is a must for this role. It is crucial to be able to quickly understand what a client’s needs are, while managing expectations and mitigating any unease to maintain a trust fabric in client partnership.

- Comfortable configuring and managing enterprise-grade solutions.
- Organized and accountable: as a Solution Architect, you will need to manage and ensure timely delivery of parallel tasks constantly.
- Fast learner and creative problem-solver, comfortable turning vague requests into concrete solutions.
- Strong communicator, both in verbal and written forms.
- Excellent listener and note-taker, leveraging Lightbeam defined tools and processes.
- Able to work independently as well as a part of the strategic team in a fast-paced environment.
- Taking data-driven approaches to problem solving.
- Proficiency with SQL and data discovery process.
- 1+ year experience in similar technical roles.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (such as STEM).
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience / knowledge in a Solution Engineer/Support Engineer role.
- Past experience / knowledge in a healthcare setting.
- Engineering experience in building, improving, and maintaining modern web-based applications.
