Works directly with clients, IT vendors, and internal teammates to design and deliver integrated health solutions. SAS focuses primarily on understanding complex technical and business requirements and translating them into highly scalable, robust integration architectures. You will work with teams in several care settings to ensure the delivery of service-oriented, well-integrated solutions. You will also act as the technical lead and mentor for your team while maintaining a hands-on role. The work that you produce will eventually help clinicians deliver and manage care more effectively, and organizations track and manage information across their networks.
Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
- Understanding and translating business and technical requirements, particularly those that are unique to healthcare, into architectures and solution designs.
- Lead development teams in building solutions as a Solution Architect
- Utilizing Healthcare Interoperability Standards (HL7v2, FHIR, CCDA, IHE, X12) appropriately in solution designs.
- Implementing InterSystems Corp technology (HealthShare, IRIS for Health, ObjectScript)
- Developing and implementing APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP) and designing API-based solutions
- Utilizing CI/CD technologies and processes including but not limited to Git, Jenkins, Docker
- Using cloud architecture domain knowledge, VM and Container domain knowledge, and deployment strategies to architect solutions
- Implementing and using authorization frameworks, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0
- Programming in InterSystems ObjectScript, .NET (C#), Java, or other Object-Oriented Programming languages
- Utilizing Enterprise Integration Patterns in solution designs.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience in the field of Healthcare experience preferred;
- Oral and written fluency in English.
Physical & Mental Qualifications:
- All positions require the ability to work on a computer for at least eight (8) hours per day. This includes fine and gross manipulation (typing and utilizing the mouse), looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time, and visual acuity (reading off a computer screen). This also includes the ability to sit and stand for a combined period of at least eight (8) hours per day.
- All positions require a minimum and infrequent lifting requirements (laptop).
- No positions require walking requirements apart from the travel and commute as stated in this section.
- All positions require the ability to talk on the phone.
- Most positions require occasional travel.
- Most positions allow for working from home; however, positions based in the New York metro area require commuting requirements into the office.
- All positions require the ability to focus on numerous tasks and project requirements throughout and eight (8) hour workday.
