Position Summary
OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time, experienced Software Support Specialist to provide advanced product support for our Warehouse Automation products. This position is to be based in our corporate office in Plano, TX with an average 25% travel to various customer sites. Technical interface between the customer (IT, IS, Production), Field Service, and Technical Support.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse and complex scope of support issues directly related to the use, support, and implementation of our products.
- Provide advanced-level software assistance to our field service and technical support groups.
- Travel to customer sites to assist engineering and field service groups with initial installations, implementation of new features, and resolution of on-site problems.
- Perform database & software updates and maint - test, troubleshoot, and document changes.
- Work in a rapidly developing software & technical environment to support our products.
- Work closely with software engineers, application engineers, and other subject matter experts to gather product-related technical source information.
- Support the Security of Windows environments and Remote Access capability.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of the Cortex knowledge base.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree, or equivalent in Computer Science. Experience with Control Systems or PLC Engineering is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a product support role with software and PC troubleshooting skills, with an emphasis on SQL Database Administration.
- Proficient with Ubuntu, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Server 2019/2022, Windows 10/11, and Microsoft Office 365 software.
- Experience with ConnectWise and/or Kaseya RMM software a plus.
- Knowledge of Networking and TCP socket communication is required.
- Possess a strong logical aptitude with the ability to resolve complex Software, Hardware, and Network issues.
- Must possess strong communication skills (written and oral).
- The initial three-month training period would require two week-long stays per month at OPEX World Headquarters located in Moorestown NJ and/or Plano, TX.

- Ability to remote access customer sites daily from your office and home base when not traveling.
- Office and manufacturing settings, OPEX Corporation and customer sites.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds independently.
