Position Summary

The Software QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through the development and execution of test plans. The Software QA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and report any defects or issues and work towards their resolution. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases for software applications.
• Execute and document test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of the software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers to ensure software quality.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability and performance of the software.
• Participate in the deployment and release process, providing quality assurance support.
• Continuously improve the testing process and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Proactively identify and mitigate any project risks.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Experience

• Three (3) or more years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Experience with tracking multiple test efforts simultaneously and being able to synthesize the results in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be self-sufficient and own project assignments from initial start to deployment.
• Ability to utilize excellent time management and organizational skills to meet reasonable project deadlines.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects in parallel.
• May be required to work occasionally over 40 hours per week.

Education

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.

Qualifications Preferred:

• Auto Finance Industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in QA processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Test Rail, ALM).
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Postman, SQL, Genesys IVR, and MuleSoft is preferred.
• Familiar with Agile Scrum methodology.
• Competent in writing project reports, test plans, and detailed test cases
• Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in delivering quality process training and serving as an internal consultant.
• Strong self-management skills and a detail-oriented approach.
• Technical ability combined with outstanding customer service skills.
